The dwellers of apartment buildings in Chisinau who are not connected to the natural gas network will get allowances equal to 25% of the electricity bill for this November and December, in accordance with a decision adopted by the Municipal Council on November 20.

Asked by IPN to provide details, head of the General Finance Division Olga Ursu said the Public Amenities Division is to decide the payment mechanism.

“At the given stage, there is only the proposal to make such payments. When the payment mechanism and the number of beneficiaries are agreed, the costs incurred by the municipal budget will be determined,” stated Olga Ursu.

According to the functionary, a sum of 2 million lei was proposed for November and December. The money will be provided from the amounts saved in the course of this year and from other sources that will not be used by this yearend.
