The social allowances for children with disabilities will be issued without an application being required to be submitted for the purpose. A decision to improve the mechanism for providing benefits to children with disabilities and families with children was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
Under the document, the state social allowance will be provided automatically to the mother of the child based on information transmitted by the National Council for Determining Disability and Work Capacity and data offered by the Public Services Agency. If the minor is represented by another person than the mother, the compulsoriness for another person than the mother to file an application will be kept.
The one-off childbirth allowance and the monthly child benefit will be set also automatically, based on data available in state information systems. In 2024, the proposed amendments will cover about 33,000 mothers who will benefit from the childbirth allowance and more than 114,000 children who will get a monthly benefit up to the age of two or three years.
