Alliance of Active NGOs in Social Protection of Child is not yet a network, Alliance's president

The Alliance of Active NGOs in Social Protection of Child and Family has yet a lot of work to do to become a network, the Alliance's president Mariana Ianakevich said at the Yearly General Assembly of the members of the Alliance. According to her, the Alliance can develop if the member NGOs establish efficient communication and permanently exchange information and experience, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Yearly General Assembly summed up the activities carried out during a year. Among the accomplishments was mentioned a training project implemented on the initiative of foreign partners, including chidlren's rights protection federations from Romania and Bulgaria. Joint training seminars were held as part of the project, Ianakevich said. The members of the Alliance also participated in international activities promoting social policies on child protection. There were held six series of international seminars for the local, district and regional public authorities. “We wanted to see how the local public authorities understand the child protection policies and remained surprised by the quality of the work done by the public authorities in Cahul,” Mariana Ianakevich said. Another objective achieved this year was the restoration of the Net Working used by the Alliance in the relations with the NGOs working in Gagauzia and Transnistria. “The NGOs approved of the Net Working as many of them felt separated from what was happening in Chisinau during a long period of time,” the Alliance's president said. Iulian Filip, the head of the Sunday Academy for Children and Parents, said they aim to renew the team and set clear objectives as they work with children who face different problems and need support. The Assembly elected the Alliance's Coordination Council that is composed of 11 NGOs. Founded in 2002, the Alliance of Active NGOs in Social Protection of Child and Family brings together over 115 NGOs. It aims to engage the social players in the development and promotion of social policies and practices centering on the child and the family.
