May 3 was a black day for democracy in Moldova and for the country’s European integration course. At internal level, this day showed that a green-red alliance exists and it aims to cause early parliamentary elections. The PDM will consider it carefully whether to hold negotiations on the formation of a new parliamentary majority with the PLDM or not, the leader of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV, IPN reports.
Marian Lupu said the Democrats will ponder over the possibility of forming an alliance with those ‘who broke the Constitution”. “All the decisions taken on Friday show that the goal is the early elections and the invitations to negotiations are only traps. It is hard to believe that the PLDM is ready to form a new parliamentary majority. The PDM is not afraid as we know what politics mean. The package of laws adopted during one day destroyed all the good things done until now and compromised the chances of becoming part of the EU,” said the Democratic leader.
He also said that those who voted for transferring the National Anticorruption Center from the Parliament’s management under the Government’s are Moldova’s grave diggers. “By adopting those laws they showed that they want to close all the criminal cases started against ministers and other officials. Everything is transparent in the parliamentary system, while the work of the Government is based in instructions. The National Anticorruption Center will no longer be independent,” stated Marina Lupu.
