An Alley of Personalities of Culture will be put up in Căușeni town. The Cabinet on October 3 approved an initiative to this effect submitted by the local public authorities, IPN reports.

The Alley will be situated near the local House of Culture and will eternalize the memory of the personalities native of Căușeni, who contributed to developing architecture and arts.

The alley will consist of the busts of actors Ion Ungureanu and Grigore Grigoriu, film directors and scriptwriters Emil Loteanu and Vasile Brescanu, prima donna Maria Bieșu, sculptor Ion Guțu and architect Eugen Bîzgu.

The costs that will be incurred for making the busts and laying out the adjoining area will be covered with funds from the Căușeni district budget.

The Cabinet also approved the building of the bust of ruler Dimitrie Cantemir in Ungheni municipality, near the District Public Library that bears his name. The necessary financial resources will be allocated from the Ungheni district budget and from donations and sponsorships.
