The police arrested a man who is suspected of being the author of the November 9 bomb threat at the Chisinau City Appeals Court. According to the police, he admitted his guilt and related that while waiting for the hearing in his case to start, he decided to make a call to the 112 Service from the landline available in the building’s hall, IPN reports.

The Chisinau Police Division said the man is 44 and is from a village of Strășeni district. He was earlier tried for theft. The man told the police that he made a joke and didn’t realize the consequences and the fact that all the specialized services will be involved.

Criminal proceedings were brought against the man over intentional misleading about an act of terrorism. The man faces a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or at most two years behind bars.
