All the national roads and the access roads to villages and towns are passable, but traffic moves in winter conditions, the General Police Inspectorate has said, with reference to the State Road Administration. Employees of the local subdivisions of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies in concert with employees of the National Patrolling Inspectorate are patrolling and monitoring road sections that can become impassable.
A number of 148 units of equipment and 185 persons were involved in the spread of antiskid material. About 1,200 tonnes of antiskid material have been already spread. A number of 55 villages of 13 districts, including Ialoveni, Criuleni, Orhei, Hancesti, Telenesti, Stefan Voda, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Leova, Ungheni and ATU Gagauzia, were partially disconnected from the power supply at 6am this morning. Specialist teams are working to restore the power supply.
