By the end of Monday, August 20, the administration of “Termocom” JSC promises to start supplying all the consumers of Chisinau with hot water. Commercial Director of “Termocom” told the session of the City Hall that the supply of hot water was resumed in 436 apartment blocks, of which 226 blocks in Ciocana district and 210 – in Rascani district. The Company plans to pay its debts to the Thermal Power Plants and to Union Fenosa, which will start the supply of water and necessary electric power to put into operation the water pumping stations. The debts will be paid from the sum of MDL 50 mln transferred at the end of the last week by the City Hall of Chisinau, as the first share of the total debt of MDL 151 mln, created due to the decision of the local authorities to compensate the tariff for heat. At present, the company is still repairing the water networks of 205 apartment blocks located in the Municipality of Chisinau. The works will finish in several days in the case of 150 blocks. The rest of the networks will be repaired as soon as possible, Arusoi added. Of the total number of 4684 apartment blocks in the Municipality of Chisinau, 1720 are connected to the network of hot water. The supplies of hot water were stopped on July 23 in all the apartment blocks of the Municipality of Chisinau and had to be resumed on August 13. The supplies were suspended because it was necessary to test the equipment of the Thermal Power Plant CET 2 and of the thermal networks administrated by “Termocom” JSC, in order to be prepared for the cold season of the year.
