All the border crossing points located at the frontier with Romania and Ukraine work according to the usual program. The Border Police said the wharf-like border crossing points Soroca-Tsekinovka and Cosauti-Iampoli are also functional, IPN reports.

Owing to the snow that fell over the last two weeks, a number of border crossing points, mainly those situated on the border with Ukraine, suspended work. Two wharf-like border crossing points were temporarily closed following the formation of ice on the Nistru River.

Last week the state border was crossed 270,000 times. The points Leuseni, Otaci, the Chisinau Airport and Sculeni were the most popular.
