The post of acting head of the General Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations Division and that of chief architect of the municipality of Chisinau as from April 4 will be held by Alexei Ţurcan, who until now served as acting head of the Protected Constructions Division. An order to this effect was signed by acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu, IPN reports.

Alexei Ţurcan will hold the post for six month or until the contest to fill the vacancy is announced.

Former chief architect Sergiu Borozan was dismissed on April 3, with Ruslan Codreanu arguing he was dissatisfied with the work done by the Division.

Sergiu Borozan was appointed chief architect of the municipality of Chisinau in May 2017 as a result of a public contest.
