Alexei Tulbure was repealed from UN because of incompetence and inadequate for job: Foreign Ministry

Moldova’s former permanent representative to the UN, Alexei Tulbure, was repealed because he had proved professional incompetence and did not match the exerted function, the deputy minister for External Affairs and European Integration (EAEIM,) Valeriu Ostalep, said during the plenary sitting of the Parliament on Thursday, March 6, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ostalep has said Alexei Tulbure would have ignored the EAEIM’s instructions, has allegedly systematically breached the work discipline and has done actions prejudicing Moldova’s image on his duty. According to the deputy foreign minister, the former Moldovan representative at the UN has inefficiently managed the public money and committed a series of grave violations which have been established in the report of the Court of Accounts following verifications at diplomatic missions. The official has stated that two disciplinary severe warnings were addressed to Alexei Tulbure, within a short period of time for breaching work regulations, yet the breaches grew even tenser. Alexei Tulbure was named as Moldova’s permanent representative to the UN later in June, 2007. He had been Moldova’s representative at the Council of Europe for four years, before. President Vladimir Voronin signed the decree repealing Alexei Tulbure on March 4, this year.
