Alexei Cotruta to head Moldovan Rugby Federation

Alexei Cotruta made his first statements as the new president of the Moldovan Rugby Federation. The former player of the national rugby team replaced Vasile Revenco. He will hold office for four years, IPN reports.

“As a result of a dispute that lasted for several years, after two judgments by the Supreme Court, on June 3 the Ministry of Justice announced that I was named manager of the Moldovan Rugby Federation,” Alexei Cotruta told the press.

In November, the national rugby team of Moldova will play three matches in the European Nations Cup, against the Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. “The November 11 match against the Netherlands could be played in Orhei. We will make effort to bring all the internationals together so as to show a nice play,” said Alexei Cotruta.
