Alexandru Tanase: State institutions cannot function without budget

The absence of the state budget paralyzes the activity of the state institutions and the whole country is now in a very difficult situation because of this, the president of the Constitutional Court Alexandru Tanase said in the talk show “Interpol” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

Tanase avoided pronouncing on the legality of the assumption by the Government of responsibility for the key economic law of the country for the reason that this issue could become the subject of a challenge, but said that it will be a disaster if one of the parliamentary parties submits a censure motion against the executive and this is accepted as the country will remain without budget and without Government too.

The president of the Constitutional Court also said that the Government must assume responsibility only for the most important bills, while the less important ones that can wait should go though Parliament. On the other hand, the state budget law is the only one that cannot be drafted by Parliament and that cannot be adopted by the legislative body without the Government’s acceptance.
