Minister of the Interior Alexandru Jizdan admits that the institution he manages still includes employees who make mistakes or have an inappropriate behavior. According to him, the decisions of the central apparatus are not yet properly implemented by all the employees. He made such statements in the program “Important” on TVC 21 channel, IPN reports.

The minister said there are subdivisions of the Ministry of the Interior that daily have to deal with the business developed there and the most serious illegalities are reported there. “There were in time schemes arranged by police employees, who carried out administrative searches at a business entity and seized all the computers and registers from an office and then waited for a relative or a friend to come to negotiate and solve the problem, as they say. I know these things. They are no longer done now,” stated Alexandru Jizdan.

He noted that corruption at the Ministry of the Interior is indeed fought now. “This is a painful issue. We top the statistics of the National Anticorruption Center,” said the minister.

Alexandru Jizdan noted he is confident that corruption is being fought in the country and the fight is unprecedented given the statistics and the importance of the subjects. “We have never had such operations that would feature ex-ministers, ministers and other persons with responsible posts,” he stated.
