Weightlifter Alexandru Dudoglo took the 26th position at the European Championship in Norway. He competed in the 85 kg class, IPN reports.

Dudoglo failed all the attempts in clean and jerk with the weight of 160 kg, while in snatch he refused to compete. In the same class, Gheorghe Cernei, who represents Romania, won bronze by the general result. Earlier, Iurie Dudoglo won bronze in snatch and ranked fifth with a general result of 62 kg, while Alexandru Spac finished ninth with 77 kg. Natalia Prishepa (75 kg class) enters the competition today.

Former national team members Cristina Iovu, Dumitru Captari and Gheorghe Cernei medaled for Romania.  London Olympic bronze medalist Cristina Iovu became champion in the up to 53 kg class.
