Ex-manager of the national football team of Moldova Alexandru Curteian will now train the Latvian team Jelgava. “As a player, Curteian was a leader. This counted when we made our choice,” director of Jelgava Yanis Vuguls stated for the Latvian press.
Jelgava ended second the last season, being four points behind champion Spartaks Jurmala that is trained by the ex-coach of Zimbru Oleg Kubarev.
Another Moldovan coach, Oleg Fistican parted company with Saxan. He left the team on the last place in the National Division after the first half of the championship.
