The Cabinet accepted the draft presidential decree on the dismissal of Alexandru Cimbriciuc from the post of deputy minister of defense based on his resignation, IPN reports.

Cimbriciuc tendered his resignation on July 14 following a scandal about the intimidation of a journalist who published an investigation that featured him and his son.

Alexandru Cibriciuc was appointed deputy minister of defense in March 2015.
