Greco-Roman wrestler Alexandrin Guțu has won silver at the U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Spain. He lost to Armenia’s Malkhas Amoyan, who became senior world champion last year and European champion this year, IPN reports.
Alexandrin Guțu scored three victories in the 77 kg weight class, against Sajan of India, Rassul Zhunis of Kazakhstan and Ukraine’s Dmytro Vasetskyi.
In the 72 kg weight class, Valentin Petic reached the quarterfinals but was eliminated by Irfan Mirzoyev of Ukraine.
