The Party of Socialists’ candidate for President Alexandr Stoianolgo in the runoff presidential election is counting on the people of good faith, on those who really want the change in the country, IPN reports.
"My goal is to convince these people to come out to vote. They should put aside the disappointments or the anger that their favorite did not win and come and vote," Alexandr Stoianoglo said in a TV show.
According to the candidate, the mission is common – to make this country a successful one, to give it the chance to modernize and develop, to maintain peace and implement solutions that meet the real needs of the people.
The PSRM’s candidate reached the runoff vote after obtaining the second highest electoral score in the October 20 election – 25.98% of the ballot. His challenger, incumbent President Maia Sandu, supported by the Party of Action and Solidarity, gained 42.45% the vote.
