Alexandr Petkov of Partidul Nostru has once again challenged Socialist Maxim Moroșan to “a fair and competitive duel of ideas” ahead of the mayoral runoff election in Balti Sunday.

Petkov said his initial invitation from November 9 remained unanswered, suggesting Moroșan is trying to avoid him and the campaign altogether.

“I can’t see my opponent anywhere. He makes no public appearances. I reached out to the Socialist Party, I called their local office myself and talked to the secretary, and renewed my invitation. Maxim, come and join me for a debate. Let the people of Balti hear us, let the people of Balti see us and compare. I hear you have a lot of ideas, you’ve made a lot of campaign promises. Let’s discuss them publicly”, said Petkov.

Meanwhile, Moroșan said he would rather spar with Renato Usatîi, the Partidul Nostru leader.
