Alexander Rybak, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, will give a recital in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on New Year’s Eve. The show entitled “Fairytale” will start at 1am and will last for one hour and a half. Rybak will be paid almost 200,000 lei, IPN reports.
According to Steluța Mitriuc, acting head of the Culture Division, the New Year’s concert titled “Winter Night Dream” will start at 7pm with a parade performance. The band Tharmis will hold a concert between 8pm and 9pm. This will be followed by a folk music program between 9pm and 11:30pm.
A choreographic-musical performance will be given between 10:30pm and 11:45pm. The New Year will be met with a fireworks show followed by a concert by the band Zdob și Zdub.
