The Chisinau City Hall Friday inaugurated the gymnasium of the High School “Alecu Russo” that is situated in Riscani district. A sum of 6.3 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for constructing the gym, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The fact that we inaugurated this gymnasium is a joyful event for us as. It was an investment made by the residents of Chisinau municipality and the City Hall in the education and development of our children. Today we can reap the harvest of the work done during four years,” Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said in the opening of the gym. The construction works started in 2007, but were interrupted in 2008 because there were no available budget resources. In 2009, the works were resumed. A basketball game between the teams of the Chisinau City Hall and “Alecu Russo” High School was played within the inauguration event.
