Moldova's best-rated tennis player, Albot won two other Futures tournaments in Turkey earlier this year. Also this week, another Moldovan tennis player, Maxim Dubarenco participated in a equivalent tournament in Israel, but was eliminated at the quarterfinals stage by Italian Alessandro Bega, 6-3, 6-0. Despite the defeat, the 18-year-old Dubarenco can be proud of his performance in the Israelite tournament, where he emerged victorious in 4 out of 5 matches, which will add to his ATP rating.
