Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot, World No. 93, eliminated the top seed of the ATP tournament held in Sofia, Denis Shapovalov of Canada, in the 1/8 finals of the competition, IPN reports.

Albot beat the World No. 12 by 6-2, 6-4. The match lasted for 1 hour and 15 minutes. In the next round, Albot plays the winner of the pair Egor Gerasimov (Belarus) - Adrian Mannarino (France).

Radu Albot also achieved a good result in the doubles. Playing together with Artem Sitak of New Zeeland, the pair defeated the De Minaur/Vega duo by 3-6, 7-6, 11-9.
