Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot slipped 30 spots in the ATP world rankings to the 138th. He had the best position this April, when he ranked 81st, IPN reports.
Radu Albot is now competing in the ATP Tournament of Umag, Croatia. In the first round, he beat Serbia’s Miljan Zekic, world No. 350, 6-4, 6-0. The match lasted for one hour and 12 minutes. In the evening of July 19, Albot meets Czech player Jiri Vesely, world No. 57, in the 1/8 finals.
Belgium’s David Goffin, who takes the 14th position in the ATP rankings, is the top seed of the competition held in Croatia. The tournament also involves Gael Monfils of France.
