Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot scored two victories in the Challenge tournament of Braunschweig, managing to beat the representatives of the hosts Daniel Altmaier and Yannick Hanfmann in three sets, IPN reports.

Albot, who now takes the 108th position in the ATP rankings, was yet defeated by Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics, World No. 109, failing thus to qualify for the semifinals. He lost by 2-6, 2-6. Both of the athletes played the day they also had the matches of the 1/8 finals.

At the tournament in Germany, Albot also competed in the doubles alongside Ukraine’s Denis Molchanov. They lost the first match to Hungary’s Balazs/Fucsovics 5-7, 7-5, 6-10.
