Radu Albot went through two qualifying rounds at the US Open. The Moldovan tennis player didn’t encounter problems in the matches against Joao Domingues and Garin Christian, IPN reports.

At first, Albot beat Portugal’s Joao Domingues, who is world No. 186, by 6-0, 6-1. Afterward, he defeated Chile’s Garin Christian, world No. 215, by 6-4, 6-4. This evening, Albot plays Canada’s Frank Dancevic, who is placed 358th in the ATP rankings.

If Albot scores a new victory, he will reach the main competition of the US Open and will secure a prize of US$ 50 000.
