“Albinuta” primer for diaspora children

The Government donated 500 “Albinuta” primers signed by Grigore Vieru to children born in the diaspora through the agency of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations. The donation was made on the occasion of the International Children’s Day to encourage the diaspora children to learn the Romanian language and to develop emotional ties with the parents’ country of origin, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

The books will be dispatched to Moldova’s embassies in the countries that host expats. The children of preschool age born aboard, whose Moldovan nationality documents will be obtained through embassies, will get by an “Albinuta”.

The Bureau for Diaspora Relations has launched a number of activities and governmental programs for children from the diaspora that are designed to strengthen the ties with the country or origin and to promote the traditions, culture and values of the Moldovan people among the citizens who settled abroad.
