Alba-Iulia City Hall states its continuous support for Chisinau projects
“Every time we come to Chisinau and go to Alba Iulia Blvd. we have the feeling that we are at home. Our ties are soul-related ties. That’s why we will continue to support the projects initiated in Chisinau,” the Mayor of Romania’s Alba Iulia Mircea Hava said in a meeting with the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, Mircea Hava said that after the signing of the twinning agreement, the relations between Chisinau and Alba Iulia switched to a new stage of development.
“The relations between Chisinau and Alba Iulia started 20 years ago and have developed continuously. The twinning agreement was signed last year. The experience of the local authorities of Alba Iulia in different areas is very important for Chisinau, especially as regards the restoration of buildings that are architectural monuments,” said Dorin Chirtoaca.
He approved of the intention of a group of businessmen from Alba Iulia to prepare the technical documents for the restoration of the building of the Chisinau-based Romanian-French High School “Gheorghe Asachi”. The value of the documents represents 10% of the total value of the project.
A delegation from Alba Iulia came to Chisinau on March 26 to take part in the activities dedicated to the 94th anniversary of Bessarabia’s union with Romania. They will leave on March 28.
