The airlines will have to provide the passengers and aeronautic personnel with personal protective equipment (disposable masks and gloves). The Civil Aviation Authority issued a circular that obliges all the aeronautic agents to take protection measures to prevent infection with the new coronavirus, IPN reports.
The Medical Service of the Chisinau International Airport and the National Public Health Agency’s Health Emergencies Management Department based at the Airport will supply the personnel with personal protective equipment when need be and will train the staff.
The ground handling enterprises will step up the measures to examine all the surfaces, from the aircraft to crews and the airport’s complex, before and after landing.
The Authority said the personal protective equipment should be bought by each institution individually for their personnel.
About 5,000 people, mostly in China, got the new coronavirus globally. The death toll exceeded 100. No case of infection with this virus was reported in Moldova so far.
