Air show held to marked 68th anniversary of Moldovan Civil Aviation

Hundreds of people have attended the events organized by the Chisinau International Airport to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Moldovan Civil Aviation. The visitors were most impressed by the acrobatic maneuvers and by the opportunity to study planes both on the inside and the outside. Prime Minister Vlad Filat didn’t hesitate to go for a flight with a Romanian pilot in a “Extra 300” airplane. The crew has performed several spectacular maneuvers during the flight. Following the flight, the Premier stated that he had experienced feelings that are difficult to put into words, and that everyone needs to try flying at least once in order to understand this fully. Vlad Filat has congratulated everyone who works in civil aviation. “Unfortunately, because of many difficulties, many of our pilots gradually found work in other countries, where they are reputed to be among the best. We will continue to create proper conditions so that the airport infrastructure and airlines can ensure good conditions for their passengers, and our pilots will come back home.” said the Premier. Those who came to the airport had the opportunity to visit flight operating areas, where they learned interesting things about aircraft maintenance, control and airport infrastructure, including the runways, the stationing platforms, terminals and airport equipment. The visitors said that they were delighted by the acrobatic flights and wished that this kind of events would be organized more often than once a year. The event was organized by the Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority together with the state enterprise “Chisinau International Airport”.
