An Air Moldova plane with 178 passengers on board heading to the Italian city of Verona was forced to return to the Chisinau Airport briefly after takeoff. For technical reasons, the crew decided the aircraft needed additional verification.

Air Moldova told IPN the passengers' safety had not been under threat for a single moment, and the airline provided passengers after landing with meals and refreshments inside the Chisinau Airport. The flight to Verona is due to be repeated today at 5:20PM.

The airline added that the incident didn't delay or cancel other flights. No other details were provided.
