Air Moldova extends flying restrictions until May 25

The airline Air Moldova decided to extend the flying restrictions until May 25. During May 15 and May 25, the flights will be suspended given the extension of the travel restrictions imposed by each country on destinations operated by Air Moldova, IPN reports, quoting an announcement posted buy the company on its official website.

The resumption of flights for each destination apart will be possible together with the lifting of the restrictions by each state and their permission to operate flights to or from the planned destinations. For passengers who purchased tickets for this period, the airline proposes three options: free change of date for the same destination until March 28, 2021, voucher equal in value to the price of ticket or refunding according to the tariff rules.

Earlier, the national operator FlyOne announced that given the restrictions imposed by each country on the operated destinations, all the flights during May 16, 2020 and May 31, 2020 will be suspended. FlyOne said the flights will be resumed gradually, according to the restriction relaxation plans of each country, at this stage presumably beginning with June 2020.

President Igor Dodon last Friday said that if the state of emergency in Moldova is not extended after May 15, the regular flights will be resumed, but not all of them. Full liberalization will be possible when all the states lift the restrictions determined by the pandemic.
