Air Moldova has announced that it cancelled flights scheduled for March 4, 5 and 6 and reorganized the schedule. The operator argued that two of the aircraft became unusable, while the third plane is undergoing the mandatory and planned technical inspection, IPN reports.
“Air Moldova continues making effort to alleviate the consequences. Our team continues to look for and implement solutions to be able to restore the frequency of flights and to supplement the fleet. Dear passengers, we apologize for the caused inconvenience. The coming days, we ask you to attentively check the notices received to the email address. We will regular inform about the changes in schedule,” the airline noted in a press release.
The cancelled flights include the March 4 flights to and from Warsaw and London, the March 5 flights to and from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Rome, Bologna, Dublin and Tbilisi, the March 6 flights to and from Frankfurt, Milan, Tel Aviv and Warsaw. After Wizz Air announced it decided to suspend flights to and from Chisinau as from March 14 and after Air Moldova cancelled a number of flights, the Civil Aviation Authority issued a number of recommendations. It said that a flight is late or is cancelled, the passengers must benefit from assistance and service, including if a flight is redirected. They are also entitled to compensation, with particular exceptions.
