The Global Talent program launched by AIESEC on November 19 offers professional internships for university graduates in the 125 countries where this NGO is present. To enroll in the program, those interested must pay a participation tax of €125, but will be able to get salaries of up to US$2,000.
AIESEC Chisinau president Daniel Vlas told a news conference at IPN that the lack of experience is an impediment when applying for a job. Therefore they though about a program that would develop the leadership potential of the young people and would offer opportunities of working in a multicultural environment. “One can work in international organizations or companies and can become involved in paid internship in such areas as education, marketing, IT or management,” stated Daniel Vlas.
The organization’s vice president Mihaela Radu said that Global Talent has three components. Global Talent Marketing is perfect for those who have knowledge of marketing. The applicants can work at a foreign company and gain knowledge related to the studying of the local or international market and can develop the knowledge of online marketing. Global Talent Teaching enables to take part in school promotion events and campaigns, while Global Talent Business allows working at foreign companies operating in such areas as export and import of products and for projects connected with the administrative sectors.
AIESEC vice president on foreign internships Mihaela Petrov said the program is intended for university graduates holding a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree. A condition is to be proficient in English. The application forms can be filled out on www.chisinau.aiesec.md. The applicants will be invited to an interview. If they pass the interview stage, they will be registered on the program’s platform and can look for a suitable internship.
The size of the salary that the participants in the program will get depends on the company and country where the internship takes place. According to AIESEC, the salary varies between US$450 and US$2,000 a month. The internship lasts for three months to one year and a half. The participation tax of €125 covers the costs for legalizing the documents, for maintaining the platform, for preparing the participant for departure and for getting international insurance. The program is open to young people younger than 30.
