AIESEC helps high school students to choose future profession
The student organization AIESEC Chisinau invites the last year high school students to take part in the professional orientation project Start Smart between March 4 and 7. The students from all over the country can file applications until February 21, while those from the municipality of Chisinau until February 27, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The application form is available on the website [startsmart.md]. The project includes training courses for high school students given by lecturers of Moldovan higher education establishments. “Our goal is to bring together 80 high school students from all over the country and help them assess their own capacities and choose the national or foreign education institution where they would like to continue their studies,” said Esenia Malanca, coordinator at the communication department of AIESEC Chisinau.
“The professional orientation of the young people is extremely important for the country’s future given the importance of the human resources for Moldova, when emphasis is laid on the financing of studies from the state budget,” Esenia Malanca said.
At the first stage, the students will be helped to assess their abilities and personal preferences as regards the future profession. Afterward, they will have to plan their university studies and future career.
The first edition of the project was held in 2007. Only students from Chisinau high schools took part in the project then. The activities carried out as part of Star Smart are organized by the education division of the youth organization of AIESEC Chisinau. The project is hosted by the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
AIESEC, the world's largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.
