AIESEC Chisinau announced its readiness to help students from 11th-12th grades in professional orientation and personal development problems under the UpGreat educational project. Its goal is to promote professional orientation through a number of trainings, so that youths can understand the importance of a right career choice, overcoming communication and social-emotional barriers, Info-Prim Neo reports. “This edition of UpGreat is special because it focuses on professional orientation, unlike the fall edition that focused on the development of personal image. We’ll use psychologists’ services as additional and optional orientation tool”, project leader Mihaela Babici mentioned at a pres conference. Applications can be submitted between March 5 and March 17. 90 participants will be selected. “We hope that in the end, the 90 students participating in this project will have a clear orientation regarding their career. We want to put an end to the uncertainty regarding career and faculty choices. At the moment, the most popular are Journalism, Law and Economy, but we want students to do what they like and not to choose a profession being influenced by other factors”, said Anastasia Vasilachi, AIESEC member. According to Ion Gutu, another AIESEC member, the main selection criteria will be motivation and seriousness. Participants will be divided in three groups of 30 students. “What AIESEC is doing, it proves things can be done during crisis as well. They influence our real economy, they know how to develop partnerships”, said Ion Nicorici, representative of Aqua UniQa, official AIESEC partner in this project. students from any districts can apply for UpGreat. AIESEC is world’s largest student driven organization and is present in over 110 countries, including Moldova.
