The agriculture subsidization fund in 2017 will consist of 900 million lei, 23 million lei of which will come from the EU ENPARD Budget Support Program, IPN reports, quoting the draft state budget law for 2017 published by the Ministry of Finance.
The money will be allocated for investing in agricultural equipment, for restructuring and adjusting the production of fruit and vegetables on protected areas (greenhouses, solariums, tunnels) to the EU standards, for planting, modernizing and clearing multiannual plantations, including vineyards.
Investments will continue to be made in the processing and selling of agricultural products, development of post-harvest and processing infrastructure, setting up of groups of agricultural producers. There will be subsidized the consolidation of farmland, purchase of no-till and mini-till equipment, promotion and development of ecological agriculture, improvement and development of rural infrastructure.
The agriculture subsidization fund will be distributed based on regulations approved by the Government.
The executive approved a decision saying the requests for subsidies made by farmers this year, which will not be satisfied owing to the shortage of funds, will be paid from the agriculture subsidization fund for next year.
