Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov is convinced that the agriculture subsidization fund will be doubled from 500,000 lei to 1 billion lei in 2015, IPN reports.

In the program “Without myths” of “Panorama” newspaper, the minister said that owing to the EU funding, agricultural subsides of 1 billion lei will be distributed from next year.

“It is twice more than we gave to the agricultural producers until now. The European Union will offer us annually €17 billion through one financing program,” stated Vasile Bumacov.

He is sure that the Moldovan farmers will be able to compete with the European producers as, following the signing of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU, they benefit from financing, experience, export market and fair rules.
