Family farms of up to 70 ha will receive increased support, and vegetable growers and sugar beet breeders will receive subsidies per hectare. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry is developing new support measures for Moldovan farmers for 2025, IPN reports.

According to Minister Vladimir Bolea, investments in irrigation projects are planned in cooperation with international partners. Together with the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), packages of proposals for medium and large farmers will be developed.

Preferential agricultural loans will be provided, with a fixed interest rate and a longer repayment period, as well as advance subsidies of up to 50% for complex projects intended for large farmers.

The minister noted that villages can be developed only on the basis of economic activity and a coherent development policy in the economic sector.
