The Government approved the agreement between Moldova and Japan on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in the field of customs, concluded in Chisinau in January 2022.

The document provides for the mutual administrative assistance of the customs administrations of the Republic of Moldova and Japan for the correct application of customs legislation, prevention, investigation and combating violations of customs legislation, as well as strengthening cooperation efforts to simplify and harmonize customs procedures.

Moldova has concluded such treaties with 25 countries, but also within the World Customs Organization, the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM.
