Agreement on retransmission of programs of TRM and Romanian Television Society

An agreement between the governments of Moldova and Romania on cooperation in the retransmission of programs of the public broadcasters is to be signed soon. The Moldovan executive decided to initiate the negotiations and approved the preliminary text of the accord, IPN reports.

By this agreement, the sides will guarantee the freedom of receiving and retransmitting programs of the public broadcasters - Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) and the Romanian Television Society - on the territory of the two states, without imposing conditions, without preliminary authorization or license.

The accord will be signed based on the joint statement on the establishment of a strategic partnership for European integration, of April 27, 2010.

The agreement will be valid for a period of 10 years and can be extended automatically for the same period if none of the sides informs the other side about its termination within at least six months before the expiration of its period of validity.
