Agreement on provision of €100m to Moldova will be signed by March 24
The agreement whereby Romania will offer €100 million in financial assistance to Moldova will be negotiated and signed by March 24, Prime Minister Vlad Filat announced in a news conference on February 26. He discussed the subject at a meeting with Romanian Premier Emil Boc, held on the sidelines of the Danube Summit in Budapest, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The first tranche of €25 million will be transferred this year. It will be used to implement infrastructure-related projects, mainly in rural areas,” Filat said. The other funds will be disbursed in equal installments during the next three years.
Vlad Filat and Emil Boc also talked about the agreements reached in Bucharest in November last year. “Everything goes according to plan. We agreed to hasten the signing of the agreement between the education ministries so that more Moldovan young people could study in Romania and vice versa,” the Premier said.
He reiterated that the Agreement on Small-Scale Border Traffic will come into force in Moldova on March 31.
