The agreement on the Republic of Moldova’s participation in the EU Single Market Program was signed in Brussels. President Maia Sandu said the program will help prepare the private sector and the state institutions for the European rules and standards and will increase access to the European markets for Moldovan products and services, IPN reports.
The official noted that the program encourages the creation of startups and the development of competitive and sustainable small and medium-sized enterprises and offers access to the expertise and good practices of the EU member states.
‘The signing of this agreement is an important step on the path of gradual integration of our country into the EU Single Market and a firm commitment for the modernization and aligning of the Republic of Moldova to the European norms. A competitive and strong economy means high paying jobs at home and higher living standards for the citizens,” said President Sandu.
