After a pause of ten years, the exhibition Eco&Green EXPO 2023 will be mounted again in Chisinau. During September 8-10, 30 companies will present their offers in the fields of green technology and environmental protection at the exhibitions center “Moldexpo”, IPN reports.
“Moldexpo” director general Carolina Chiper told a news conference that there will be exhibited food, ecological and wine products, waste collection equipment and solar panels. A platform will be made available for business entities working in the field, consumers and government institutions to interact.
Veronica Herța, Green City Lab Moldova executive director, noted that enterprises and NGOs with an extremely diversified range of activities, from producers of wastewater treatment stations and technology for composting organic waste to makers of drones used to perform agricultural works or to ensure better management of green areas in towns, will be invited to the exhibition. There will also be displayed hempcrete panels, LED devices, smart meters made in Moldova.
“It is probably opportune to know also those who have the courage to invest and to make innovations in the Republic of Moldova. That’s why not only producers, those who are engaged in the field, will present their products in the exhibition. We also compiled a very interesting agenda that during the three-day exhibition will host a number of discussion panels that will involve over 60 specialists from different areas,” stated Veronica Herța.
Minister of Environment Iordanca-Rodica Iordanov said that the national program for adjusting to climate change was recently approved and this stipulates a lot of measures that can be borrowed by business entities operating in the field. In its September 6 meeting, the Cabinet is to approve one more program, for promoting green aspects in economic activity. The Ministry of Environment managed to register an eco-label with the State Agency on Intellectual Property and they are hopeful that the first requests to receive this label will be made in 2024 already.
Eco&Green EXPO 2023 will be opened at 11am on September 8.
