Aeronautics Association of Moldova accuses ASAC of not respecting the court decision

The Aeronautics Association of Moldova (APAM) is worried about the fact that the Civil Aviation Administration (ASAC) ignores the decision of the court to restore flight certificates to 6 air operators. The president of APAM, Vladimir Cojocaru, told reporters on Tuesday August, that he requests immediately the return of flight certificates for “Valan ICC”, “Pecotox-Air”, “Grixona”, “Jet Stream”, “Jet Line International” and “Tiramavia”. According to cited the source, the court ordered ASAC to inform the governments of the states which are now hosting the planes of the 6 operators, the European Commission and the Organisation for Air Navigation Safety Eurocontrol, as well as other relevant international institutions about the suspension of the decision made on June 15, 2007. Cojocaru says the decision is enforceable, but can be appealed in the Supreme Court within 15 days. “At the moment we are preparing a set of documents to valuate the damage. We will go till the end, and if necessary, we will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights”, said the president of the association. According to Vladimir Cojocaru, out of the 8 air operators which requested initially for their flight certificates, only in the case of the “Aero-Nord” company the suspension was lawful. The International Airport in Marculesti is not counted, since it is not a part of APAM.
