The leaders of the Alliance for European Integration say Vladimir Voronin is the first MP who should see a psychiatrist. The reaction comes after the Communist leader put forward an initiative in the Parliament, suggesting that all the MPs should be obliged to see a doctor, especially the psychiatrist, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I think Mister Voronin will give an example for all the MPs if he does the medical tests the first. I doubt he will pass the psychiatric test,” said the president of the AMN Serafim Urecheanu. Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the leader of the PLDM, said that after Vladimir Voronin sees a doctor the society will probably better understand the way in which he governed the country for eight years. The PDM leader Marian Lupu said it is normal for the MPs to see a doctor. “I don't know why Mister Voronin is so concerned about psychiatry. I think such statements should be followed by discussions about ethical norms. I will continue to speak about the MPs' political culture. We should move to a new level. Otherwise, we will remain in a black hole,” he said.. Speaker Mihai Ghimpu, the leader of the PL, said Voronin has a fixed idea: everybody around him is sick. “We have a saying in Moldova – the thief cries to catch the thief. He cannot accept he is not in power anymore. I am his opponent. He probably did not imagine it will happen so,” Mihai Ghimpu said. On March 4 in the morning, Vladimir Voronin said he will put up a legislative initiative that obliges the MPs to do some medical tests. He said he had suspicions that some of the MPs were not in good health.
