AEI could decide tomorrow when to release report on last April events
The Communist Party (PCRM) members in the parliamentary commission for the investigation of the April 2009 events disagree with the draft report of the commission. Its chairman, MP Vitalie Nagacevschi, told today’s meeting in Parliament that the report would contain the separate conclusion of the Alliance for European Integration’s (AEI) members and the dissenting opinion of the PCRM, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vitalie Nagacevschi said the situation was predictable as dissensions appeared with the Communists from the very beginning. The position of the Communists will become known with the presentation of the report in Parliament.
The date of the presentation has not been determined yet, but Nagachevschi says the AEI will have a meeting tomorrow where he hopes a date will be named. “We haven’t decided yet whether this report will be heard at an ordinary or special meeting of the legislative. Hopefully tomorrow we will make a decision, because to be frank I’m tired with this situation”, said Vitalie Nagacevschi.
According to Nagacevschi, the conclusions are not final and they could be modified during the parliamentary hearing. He refused to reveal his general impression about the report but said, as a lawyer, that there was no coup d’etat last April.
Initially the release of the report was expected on April 23.
