The three parties of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) 3 – the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party – issued a statement by which they reassert the commitments made to the people, IPN reports.
The statement says that today, about two months of the formation of the AEI 3 and the investiture of the new pro-European Government, Moldova needs political stability, social solidarity and popular undersigning probably more than ever so that the real, economic and social problems that affect the living conditions of each family in the country could be addressed by the state authorities as a priority.
The people of Moldova need to be protected from the effects of the attempts of some groups with hidden personal interests, who want to cause scandal and continuous dispute in society, so that the democratic rights and freedoms of the people could be observed, not violated in a state with the rule of law. Moldova needs the political parties mandated to rule to ensure the country’s pro-European development, to show responsibility and promote the national interests, reads the statement.
The components of the political alliance reject any attempt to dismember the parliamentary coalition, condemn political cruising and the radical and destructive scenarios and requests promoted recently in the public sphere by non-transparent political forces, saying these could lead to dangerous street tensions and a political and institutional crisis in Moldova.
The three parties assert the early elections sought so intensely by some forces, either politically assumed or secretly politicized, cannot now be called firstly from legal viewpoint, while secondly these would represent a disaster for the country’s European future, if they are announced only several months of the elections in which the people confirmed their support for the pro-European forces and of the formation of the new Government of the AEI 3.
The parties note that they will not yield to the pressure of groups of interests that are trying to compromise the pro-European political current and confirm their political support for President Nicolae Timofti, the Government and its work program. The AEI 3 understands the Moldova people’s dissatisfaction with the economic and social problems, with corruption and the living standards and pledges to satisfy the demands concerning the fight against corruption and depoliticization of institutions in conditions of maximum transparency and honesty.
