Advancement of reforms in justice brings us closer to EU, justice minister

On the occasion of Europe Day, Minister of Justice Vladimir Cebotari assures the development partners from the EU that the reforms in this field are advancing. He thanked the partners for the confidence and positive signals that they give to Moldova, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Ministry of Justice says that during the first 100 days of work of the new Government, the Ministry drafted a number of laws to amend and supplement a series of normative documents, including the Execution Code and the Civil Procedure Code.

“We daily work to improve the legal framework and to ensure changes that can be noticed by all the judicial players and by society of Moldova. We are sure that our initiatives are sustainable and have value added for the people. With each bill, law or policy document, we contribute to the reforming justice. This way we are coming closer to the big family of the European Union, which is a prosperous society that managed to obtain success by concerted effort multiplied by time, confidence and perseverance,” stated Vladimir Cebotari.

The minister noted that different reforms were promoted in the period for being approved at distinct stages. There were launched the register of real estate guarantees and a new portal of courts of law. There was promulgated the law on moratorium on state inspections and worked out the strategy for developing the penitentiary system and the plan for strategic development of the civil status service for 2016-2020.
